Rider Spotlight: How Markus rediscovered Switzerland
When your birthday falls on the Swiss National Day, there's always something happening in Switzerland. For Markus, 38, this was exactly the reason to consciously spend August 1st differently for once. No guests, no party, no "Happy Birthday" – instead, he packed his bag two days earlier, got on his motorcycle and started an adventure he had been planning for a while: the Grand Tour of Switzerland. What followed was a four-day journey across the country – with plenty of curves, insights and a great feeling of lightness.

For many motorcyclists, it's the big dream: Simply saddle up the bike and ride off. For Luki, this dream became reality after a plan fell through. He actually wanted to start training as a motorcycle mechanic – but when that didn't work out, he seized the opportunity and embarked on a 3-month motorcycle journey across Europe. His companion? Valentina, a Yamaha XSR700.
