The Col d'Izoard has an asphalted and well-developed Pass road. From Guillestre it has a central reservation throughout and from Briançon it has no central reservation up to the Pass summit. The route is very winding and has many Hairpins, especially from Briançon. The road is wide enough on both sides, but the steep gradient and tight Hairpins make it more suitable for experienced drivers. The road surface is in good condition and there are no tunnels on the route, but there are short galleries.
