The Alto de Haza Llanas is not a classic Pass road, but a steep Mountain road above Granada. The route is asphalted, rather narrow, runs mostly without a central reservation and is almost single-lane in places; there are a few passing places. Tight Hairpins alternate with short, steep straights, the curve radii vary frequently and visibility is sometimes limited in the steeper sections.
For experienced motorcyclists, the crisp sequence of Hairpins and ramps is a treat, while beginners will only really enjoy it here with practice in uphill riding and tight hairpins as well as a defensive riding style.
The volume of traffic is usually low, but at weekends you can expect an increase in excursion traffic and many cyclists.
