The Collada de Toses offers a classic Pyrenean pass road: asphalted throughout, mostly two lanes, but narrower in particularly winding or narrow village passages. The profile alternates between flowing sequences of bends and tight Hairpins, with radii that require careful line and sight management. Longer climbs are spiced up by short ramps with gradients of up to 20 percent. Well suited for experienced beginners through to experienced tour riders who appreciate technically clean cornering.
The traffic volume is usually moderate during the week and is mainly characterized by local traffic as well as excursionists and motorcyclists; it can increase noticeably at summer weekends, during vacation periods and during winter sports. Cyclists, motorhomes and occasional buses are to be expected.
