The Col de Peyresourde offers a varied, well asphalted Pass road and is mainly two-lane and mostly marked with a central reservation. However, the road is somewhat narrower in places at higher altitudes. The grippy surface enables a fluid rhythm through many long curves, peppered with a few tighter Hairpins with smaller radii around the 1,569 m high Pass summit. Some sections have a brief, steep gradient of up to around 19%. Overall, the Mountain pass is easy to moderately difficult and therefore easy to master for beginners, while experienced riders can enjoy the flow of the bends and the view.
The traffic volume is generally moderate, but can increase significantly during the vacation season, on weekends with good Weather and during the cycling season.
